During this summit, representatives of Giada, including Linda Liu, VP of Giada Overseas Marketing and Sales Center, and Tony Liu, Supervisor of the Overseas Marketing Department, met with Jose Alvaro Avalos, Intels’s VP mainly in charge of visual retail and digital signage. Jose spoke highly of Giada’s new SDM product, SDM Z8350. Linda and Tony also had deep communication on potential cooperation projects with several leading ISV venders and digital signage manufactures. The brand of Giada has attracted much attention during the summit.

Besides, Giada demonstrated its latest embedded PC and embedded Motherboards during the LOEM Summit 2017, the premier matchmaking event for Intel top partners held in Taipei during Sept. 20-22. Giada product experts were on-site for networking and sharing information about its key technology and market opportunities with summit attendees.

Giada SDM Z8350, which has won its world’s first order from an American total retail solution provider lately, became the focus of the Intel® SDM summit. Tech giant Intel announced SDM, a plug-in module spec and reference design this year. It delivers the same level of intelligence and interoperability as the Open Pluggable Specification, but in the smallest form factor yet that eliminates the housing and advances the thinnest integrated displays.

Giada is a strong partner of Intel in the SDM program and SDM Z8350 is a beginning of Giada SDM product line. The module features Intel® Atom Cherrytrail Z8350 CPU and up to 4 GB onboard memory. It is equipped with a 32G eMMC and can support two independent displays, a DP port and an HDMI port. The module, with SDM Standard I/O, can support Windows, Linux and Android 5.1. The SDM Z8350 is optimized for digital signage, public kiosks, professional monitors, point-of-sale, projectors, beside terminals, hospitality, and more. It can be applied all around the retail industry, especially on visual retail and transactional and responsive retail.

Besides the SDM small module with entry level processor, Giada also provides SDM large module (109×180mm) with high performance processor. Giada is the only reference partner in China for SDM large module, which will be first launched in Q4 2017. Giada is aiming to be a leader on this new technology and it has capability to support its clients on this program during its entire lifecycle.
