Shenzhen, December 7, 2016 - The new Giada GCR2512T-RF Twin Node Server is now available. Thanks to the support for Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 V3 / V4 processors, the new 2U Twin Node server is convincing with high computational and memory performance. In combination with the Intel® C612 chipset, the Giada GCR2512T-RF is ready for very large amounts of data, intensive data processing processes and other storage applications in server operation. Thanks to the rackmount design, the Giada GCR2512T-RF is ideal for server virtualization in high-performance computing centers and for large storage applications. The Twin Node Server is the ideal solution for applications such as cloud and high-performance computing or distributed cloud storage networks, especially for use in medium to very large server environments.


Flexible configuration through two independent motherboards

The Giada GCR2512T-RF Twin Node Server has been designed for a space-saving application in a 2U housing that accommodates two powerful motherboards. Each of the two built-in motherboards supports two Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 V3 / V4 processors and can be powered independently and individually. This allows two server systems to be used and controlled separately. This makes the Giada GCR2512T-RF a special solution on the server market.

Dadurch benötigt der neue Server weniger Raum in Server-Schränken eines Rechenzentrums und Hosting-Kosten können maßgeblich reduziert werden. Das 2U Gehäuse verfügt über einen zentralen Anschluss für die Stromversorgung und Kühlung. Durch den Giada GCR2512T-RF kann so die Rechenleistung bei vergleichsweise weniger zusätzlichem Platzbedarf kontinuierlich gesteigert werden. 



Space-saving high-density twin-node design

With two server nodes, the Giada GCR2512T-RF requires relatively less space in server racks in a data center and hosting costs can be significantly reduced. The 2U housing has a central connection for power supply and cooling. With the Giada GCR2512T-RF the computing power can be continuously increased with comparatively little extra space.


Intelligent fan technology

The Giada GCR2512T-RF achieves an above-average cooling effect thanks to the integrated fan technology. In addition to a particularly energy-efficient operation, the fans convince through intelligent speed control and CPU utilization. The energy consumption can be controlled precisely during operation. For a continuously stable and efficient performance of the server, the server node of the Giada GCR2512T-RF is also isolated from the power supply. This ensures a highly efficient heat dissipation.


Numerous hard disk connections and versatile application possibilities

The Giada GCR2512T-RF has two barebones with a total of twelve hard drive bays. Both 2.5 and 3.5 inch hard disks can be connected to the server. Each server node can control up to six hard disks.

The new twin node server supports Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 V3 / V4 processors for a wide range of applications and exceptional performance. With up to 22 processor cores and 55 megabytes of L3 memory, high performance and ultra-fast data processing are ensured.


Enormous storage capacity and security

Each node of the Giada GCR2512T-RF is equipped with 16 DDR4 memory slots with up to 1TB ECC LRDIMM or 512GB ECC RDIMM capacity, and with six 3.5-inch hard disk drives for SAS, SATA and SSD. As a result, the Twin Node server fulfills the highest demands on a versatile server system.

In addition, the new Giada Server fulfills the highest security requirements and thus guarantees comprehensive data protection in corporates. The daughter cards of the Giada GCR2512T-RF are equipped with powerful PMC hostbus control cards and are therefore compatible with SAS and SATA chipsets. Data security is ensured by RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 10. Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encryption also protects against virus attacks and unauthorized access. The Giada GCR2512T-RF fulfills the high requirements of companies for an absolutely secure data storage and a fast data exchange.


High scalability and extremely fast Ethernet connection

Numerous interfaces can be used to expand the server's performance as well as the storage capacity of the server. The device has two SATA DOM interfaces, a USB 3.0 type A port and TPM. Additional expansion cards can be installed via two PCI-E slots. For easy administration, the Giada GCR2512T-RF has an IPMI interface.

An essential feature of the new server is the ultra-fast Ethernet connection via two integrated Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and two 10 GB / s SFP + (Enhanced Small Formfactor Pluggable) connectors, which guarantee a very high data throughput as well as efficient data transport with low latency. This improves availability as well as reliability and creates ideal conditions for the virtualization solutions.
