Giada has unveiled its latest AI edge computing device — the DN84 AI Edge Computing Box — designed to bring efficient and reliable edge intelligence to industrial environments. Built with industrial-grade stability in mind, the DN84 delivers strong AI performance while maintaining low power consumption, making it an ideal platform for a wide range of edge computing scenarios.

 

Rockchip RK3576 Processor with 6 TOPS NPU

At the core of the DN84 is the Rockchip RK3576 octa-core ARM processor, featuring four Cortex-A72 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. The device integrates an NPU capable of delivering up to 6 TOPS of AI computing power, supporting multiple precision formats such as INT4, INT8, INT16, FP16, BF16, and TF32. This enables efficient acceleration for AI inference, image analysis, and other edge AI workloads. Despite its powerful capabilities, the system maintains a low TDP of only 6W, achieving an excellent balance between performance and energy efficiency.

The integrated Mali-G52MC3 GPU enables powerful multimedia capabilities, supporting 8K video decoding and 4K video encoding, making it suitable for high-resolution visual applications.

 

Flexible OS Options: Android 14 or Debian 12

The system supports Android 14 and Debian 12, allowing users to choose between an interactive smart platform or a professional data-processing environment. Additional management features such as auto power-on and RTC real-time clock make it well suited for unattended deployments.
